Javascript Books About jQuery
I find it very interesting that jQuery has four published books in the works from real publishing companies. Actually, one is already published. This could be interpreted a lot of ways. Regardless, good or bad, one thing is for sure the masses love jQuery! And the suits are backing this notion by hedging a bet that someone will buy these books.
Lets see how the others stack up.
Prototype = 1 book
EXT = 0 books
YUI = 0 books
Mootools = 0 books
Dojo = 0 books
Whats up with this?
If the mouse pointer changes to a hand when you roll-over an image associated with a story the image upon clicking either links to enlarged version of the image or a website associated with the image.
That IS very interesting. For me, it’s just further confirmation that going “the jQuery route” was the right decision. Although I must say that the other choices aren’t too shabby either…
is this the prototype book you mentioned?
There’s actually 2 prototype books out, though both cover both prototype and scriptaculous. The other book is located here: http://books.pragprog.com/titles/cppsu/.
I think what you might be seeing here is the sweet spot + personality type jQuery hits. People who are prone to write books like jQuery. Which is to say, only the most creative, hardworking, and good looking people.
