The Author…

As you may have guessed, this site is authored, designed, and developed by Cody Lindley. Who’s that? I’m about to tell you.

The Start of Me…

On April 29, 1976, I was permanently severed from my host, AKA mother, Gail Starkey. While I obviously started forming many months before that in my mother’s womb, it really isn’t until birth that we are considered officially born. So I guess that’s when I was started.

From Birth To…

I’m not sure what to say about my childhood. I am told I was an obedient child with a clear concern for my fellow toddler. I really can’t back any of that up, however. I simply didn’t know myself when I was very young. Who does, or did, or however you want to look at it? My point is, by the time I could remember to remember myself, I um well, forgot to remember what I remembered.

Grade School, Jr. High School, and High School…

While a very important era of social and mental development occurs during one’s endeavor through the public school system, I would gladly cash in my chips if I were ever required to relive my grade school, junior high school, or high school experiences. It seems to me that this period of one’s life is really about being exposed to all the different types of individuals who inhabit our world. I believe college to be where we try those personality types on and see which one fits.

College…

In 1995 I started attend the University of Idaho in Moscow Idaho. Five years later, I graduated with a degree from the Communication department (emphasis in Advertising) with a minor in Outdoor Recreation Leadership. During my college years, I joined a fraternity and for the most part, did the typical college thing in a very cliché college town. After my first year of college, I discovered two personal truths. One, after living with 60 some odd guys and surviving the public school system, I was confident I knew who I was, who I wanted to be, and who I didn’t want to be. Second, I learned that college was more about finishing than about finishing with the ideal degree. I believe both to be possible today, and regrettably so, while I did graduate, I certainly did not take full advantage of the academic opportunities available to me as a student.

Today…

Today I am a Christian, husband, son, brother, professional Web developer, and outdoor enthusiast. I spend a majority of my time sleeping and working, but who doesn’t? In between the daily routines of the average American, I desire an existence that entails a relationship with God, my family, and nature. I would like to consider myself a bookworm (a novice theologian at best), but truth be told, I simply enjoy watching movies and playing xBox way too much. I guess I also have the luxury of pursuing my profession as a personal passion. Yes, I often work even when I am not at work.

Tomorrow…

Someday, maybe I’ll be a father (been there done that) or get a masters degree, but most importantly, I will continue to seek the love, wisdom, and knowledge of our Father in Heaven.
